Ollie Walton Tracy, Jr, 84 years old of Piperton Tennessee, was called home by his Lord and Savior on July 18, 2024.
Walt was born to Nell and Walton Tracy Sr on October 17, 1939 in Trenton, Tennessee. He later moved to Memphis with his loving mother.
Walt graduated from Messick High School and then went on to serve his country as an airman in the Air Force. He was stationed at the Aleutian Islands in Alaska for 4 years. After serving in the Air Force, Walt worked at Hunter Fan as a manager and it was there that he met the love of his life, Billie Pittman Tracy.
After marriage, he then found his life calling as a Memphis firefighter. Walt retired from the Memphis Fire Department after 30 years of loyal service. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with family.
Walt was preceded in death by his mother Nell Tracy, his father Walton Tracy Sr. and his great granddaughter Saylor Beard. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Billie Pittman Tracy, sons Eddie Garrison (Charla), Gary Garrison (Tracy), and daughter Lois Noe (Russell). He also leaves 5 grandchildren whom he truly loved; Keith, Kevin, Daniel, Shelby and Natalie. He was also blessed to have 7 great grandchildren. Walt was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed by all.
Services were held by the family to honor Walt on Tuesday July 23rd, 2024 in the chapel at Magnolia Cemetery.
