William Afton Shaw Sr

William (Bill) Afton Shaw, 81
Born May 29 1943 – October 14, 2024, resident of Holly Springs,
Mississippi. Bill was born in Potts Camp, MS son of James Clarence Shaw and Willa
Evelyn Shaw.

Bill is survived by his four children, William Afton Shaw, Jr., (Traci) of
Mechanicsburg, PA, Timothy Lewis Shaw (Susan), of Rossville, TN,
Christopher Patrick Shaw of Hernando, MS, Leanne Gonzales of Bartlett,
TN, four sisters, Barbara Rhea, Nancy (Bill) Bryan, Margie Haynes, Pamela
Barber, one brother, Otis “Bud” (Debbie) Shaw. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Ann Shaw, his parents, brother James Shaw and sister Joyce Phillips.

Bill was Granpa to his eleven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Bill served in the USMC from 1962 to 1965 and assigned to the Honor
Guard in Washington, DC, where he met his wife. After an honorable
discharge he was employed by Roadway Express for 25 years. In 1992 Bill
and Patti purchased land in Holly Springs, MS currently known as “Ault Hill
Farm”. Together they built a “No Time Zone” for friends and family to
gather and create many lasting memories.

Visitation will be Friday, October 18, 2024 from 3:00 until 4:00 pm, with
service immediately following at 4:00 pm, at Red Banks Baptist Church, 15 North Red
Banks Road, Red Banks, MS. Internment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery
on Center Street in Holly Springs. Reception following at Red Banks
Baptist Church. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Anderson Jordan Marine Corp League, in care of Ed Stutler, 6840 Oaks Shadow Lane, Olive Branch, Mississippi 38654
