Norma Lee Strawn

Norma Lee Bridges Strawn, 89, of Collierville, Tennessee, passed away in Cordova, Tennessee, on October 9, 2024.  She was born on June 3, 1935, in Monticello, Arkansas, to Lloyd Bridges and Inez Clutter Bridges.  Mrs Strawn was a homemaker and an avid reader, and a one who enjoyed travel, Jeopardy, and working in her flowers.  She will be greatly missed by many, but especially by her "babies", as she referred to her grandchildren. 

Mrs Strawn is survived by her husband, Billy Wayne Strawn, a son, Michael Wayne Strawn of Memphis, and a daughter, Lisa Strawn Brewer (Brian) of Collierville.  She also leaves two sisters, Shirley Willis and Gladys Corley,  five grandchildren, Morgan Carver (Shane), Garrett Brewer (Sarah), Carson Brewer, Jeff Strawn (Katie), and Justin Strawn (Allison), and five great grandchildren, Caleb Strawn, Lily Strawn, Jackson Strawn, Ainsley Strawn, and Henry Carver. Mrs Strawn was preceded in death by four sisters, Alice, Ruby ,Helen, and Linda, a half brother, Leroy Bridges, and infant twins who passed away at birth.

Services for Mrs Strawn will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at the Cartwright Chapel in the Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville, at 1:00 pm.  A visitation for family and friends will begin at noon, and continue until service time.  Burial, following the service will be in the Magnolia Cemetery. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St Jude Children's Hospital.

The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to Quita and the staff at Judy's Care Home  for their exceptional care for Mrs Strawn.
