James Tate Roberson, 79, of Ashland, passed away at Baptist Hospital in Oxford on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Mr Roberson was born in Salsbury, Tennessee, on February 17, 1945, to Clyde Roberson and Frankie Bohannon Roberson. Mr Roberson was a self-employed diesel mechanic.
Mr Roberson is survived by his wife, Mary Nell Wilburn Roberson, a son, Michael Roberson (Michelle) of Ashland, and two daughters, Sherri Rogers (Joe Keith) of Ashland and Lisa Sims (Terrell) of New Abany. He also leaves two brothers, Larry Roberson of Ashland and Glynn Roberson of Ripley, Mississippi, and a sister, Carolyn Whaley of Sardis, twelve grandchildren, Trent Johnson, Logan Roberson, Nicole Brownlee, Logan Nation, Rielly Byrd, Ella Brooke Roberson, Olivia Beth Roberson, Brittany Bullock , Mark Jordan, Alex Sims, Justin Rogers, and Ethan Rogers, and fifteen great grandchildren. Mr Roberson was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Roberson, and a grandson, Kody Rogers.
Services for Mr Roberson will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 11:00 am. The family will receive family and friends at a visitation on Tuesday evening, October 15, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. |
