William Ralph Baker

William Ralph Baker, 89, of Williston,Tennessee, passed away at his home on February 22, 2025.  He was born in Cordova, Tennessee, on November 16, 1935, to William Herman Baker and Eunice Jewel Redditt Baker.  Mr Baker was a retired Shelby County Government Supervisor over roads and bridges, and a heavy equipment operator. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, and he loved his horses. 

Mr Baker is survived by his wife of seventy years, Joyce Annette Shackelford Baker of Williston, and two daughters, Angela Renee' Langley (Jimmy Langley) of Collierville and Marilyn Baker-Davis (Albert Davis), also of Collierville.  He also leaves a brother, Joseph Baker and a sister, Annette Carroll, both of Cordova, a granddaughter, Raven Carpenter, and three great grandchildren, Riley Carpenter, Ethan Smith, and Hayden Dodd.  Mr Baker was preceded in death by his parents, by a grandchild, Jessica Langley, and by four brothers, Pat Baker, Charles Baker, David Baker, and Albert Baker.

Graveside services for Mr Baker will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 10:00 am, at Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville.  The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge.
