Hilda Naomi Williams

Hilda Naomi Williams, 94, of Byhalia, passed away at her home on January 7, 2025.  She was born in  Carthage, Mississippi, on March 21, 1930, to Cober Eston Jolly and Gladys Kennedy Jolly.  Mrs Williams was a devoted wife and homemaker and a member of Mt Pleasant Bridgeway Baptist Church, where she served in cleaning and kitchen duties. She also worked with St Benedict's School. She enjoyed gardening and canning, and was a bowler in her younger years, and enjoyed her bowling league and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.  She especially loved her family and enjoyed being together.  Spring was her favorite season.  

Mrs Williams, the widow of Silas Albert Williams Jr, is survived by two sons, Tracy Williams and Randy Williams (Rebecca) , and two daughters, Susan Schulz (Lowell) and Debra Welch (Charles). She also leaves grandchildren, William, Kristen, Rebecca Lynn, Elisabeth, Lauren, and Sara, and great grandchildren Tyler, Madison, Tristan, Alex, Silas, Rush, Hannah and Harrison, and great great grandchild, Josie, and sisters, Mary (Boots), Juanita, Linda, and Cheryl.  Mrs Williams was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alexis, and her husband's half brother, Jerry, who she thought of as an adopted son, and brothers Vernon, Robert, George and David, and sisters, Marjorie and Audrey.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St Jude Children's Hospital.
