                                                          Memories of Dad

How well I do remember Standing at my father's knee
And all the fun and happy times
                                                      As he was raising me.

                                                   How well I do remember
                                                The love we always shared
And all the things he said and did
                                                That showed he really cared.

                                                  How well I do remember
The day God called him home
Dad slipped into His loving arms
                                                     And I felt so alone.

Now my heart will carry memories
Of the love he gave to me
Until we meet again in  Heaven
Where the best is yet to be.

To Ms. Gina, Morgan, Crystal, Collin, Lawson, Kali and anyone else who knew this kind, caring man and whose lives he may have touched... My condolences and deepest sympathy. I know just how much each and every one of you loved this man so. He was not only an anchor of your family but a protector, a wise sage who gained his knowledge through trial & error and experience, a comedian, a welcoming, compassionate hulk of a man, one who I always just assumed was invincible, and last but certainly not least a GENUINE person, never one to mince words, shy away from an uncomfortable or inconvenient subject, and who always stood up for what he believed in. Life can be unfair, unkind, and unexpected, leaving us with many questions and few answers or closure... If there is one thing he instilled in you all it's the importance and indelible power of FAMILY. You all need each other now more than ever and can and will make it through this trying time, just as he would have wanted. I love y'all and am truly, genuinely heart broken and sorry for your loss. He was one of a kind, irreplaceable and unique. David Trantham was cut from a different cloth. They sure don't make 'em like that anymore. He will sorely missed. Sincerely, Nick
