Billy Joe Jarrett

Billy Joe Jarrett, 83, of Potts Camp, passed away at Baptist Hospital in Oxford on July 2, 2024.  He was born in Potts Camp on March 1, 1941, to Emmett Jarrett and Ruby Cruse Jarrett.  Mr Jarrett was a fork lift mechanic.

Mr Jarrett is survived by a son, Jason Jarrett (Raquel) of Potts Camp, and two daughters, Jennifer Feathers (Clevie) of Myrtle, and Carrie Jarrett of Potts Camp.  He also leaves a brother, Emmett Jarrett of Holly Springs, a sister, Betty Keifer of Indiana, five grandchildren, Hannah Allen, Kayla Jarrett, Will Huff, Paige Huff, and Mallory Jarrett, and eight great grandchildren, Ava Allen, Audrey Allen,  Anni Rose Allen, Adaline Allen,  Aliza Allen, Brooklyn Huff, Tripp Huff, and Bryson Thompson.  Mr Jarrett also leaves Rey Bermudez, who was like a son to him, and his caretaker, Barbara Holliday.  He  was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Norwood Jarrett, his parents, a brother, Truman Jarrett, and two sisters, Annie Dale Cook and Cathy Jarrett.

Memorial services for Mr Jarrett will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 2:00 pm.  A visitation for family and friends will begin at noon, and last until service time.  Burial will be in Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery.
