Roy Alan Massengill age 58, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital- Union County in New Albany, Mississippi. He was born July 18, 1959 to Olice and Hester Massengill of Hickory Flat, MS.

Alan was a graduate of Hickory Flat Attendance Center. He was a former law enforcement officer for the Mississippi Department of Transportation and Ripley Police Department. He was a former school bus driver for Benton County Schools. He worked for Big M Trucking before becoming disabled. He was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.

Roy is survived by two daughters, Allison Smith (Jim) of New Albany and Jamie Cox (Trent) of Hickory Flat. One brother, Olice Massengill Jr. (Belinda) of Hickory Flat. Grandchildren, Lane and Laken Gordon, Max and Jordan Bryant, Jacob Smith and Rivers Cox.

Services will be held at Flat Rock Baptist Church on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until service time.Rev. Randy Buse officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery.

Pallbears will be Scott Massengill, Steve Massengill, Kevin Massengill, Ricky Churchill,  Jason Bryant, Tim Smith and Keith Bullock. Honorary pallbears will be Lane Gordon, Max Bryant, Jordan Bryant, Rivers Cox and Jacob Smith.
