Betty Lee Mansel Alderson, 82, of Potts Camp, passed away at her home on May 24, 2024. She was born in Lafayette County, Mississippi, on January 31, 1942, to Warner Greer "Tag" Mansel and Ollie Vaughn Mansel. Mrs Alderson was a retired secretary with the Wurlitzer Corporation.
Mrs Alderson is survived by a son, Ricky Alderson (Marie) of Potts Camp, two grandchildren, Leanna Stacks (Jason) and Deanna Waugh (Rodney), and three great grandchildren, Hailey Stacks, Emma Kate Waugh, and Jon Luke Waugh. She also leaves five sisters, Peggy Cook, Mary Neal, Brenda Gregg, Rose Clark and Veronia Bridges, all of Potts Camp, and a sister in law, Butone Mansel, also of Potts Camp. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty three years, Clyde Wright Alderson, a son Randy Alderson, and a great grandchild, Anna Kate Waugh.
Services for Mrs Alderson will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the Potts Camp Baptist Church, at 11:00 am. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Sunday evening, May 26, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. A graveside service for the immediate family, following the service will be in the Alderson Family Cemetery in Potts Camp. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge. |
